Yoga - All Levels
Yoga classes designed for people of all levels of yoga ability and fitness. Whether it's a flow yoga or traditional Hatha Yoga, modifications and variations of poses and intensity (either lighter or stronger) are included so everyone feels welcome and able to participate to their comfort. Please arrive early to talk to the instructor if you have a specific concern.
Gentle Yoga
A perfect practice for those who prefer movement and stretch with modifications for ease and pain-free exercise while gaining strength, balance, flexibility, and stability.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of practice with longer-held, stretching poses usually done on the floor. The stretches/poses are designed to target deep connective tissue and fascia, and helps regulate the flow of energy in the body.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is a very relaxing and gentle class with longer-held poses on the floor which targets deep release of tension and stress held in the body. Specific breathing techniques along with specific poses supported by many props (blocks, blankets, bolsters, belts, and eye-pillows) help create a sense of release and deep peace in the mind and body.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra, or ‘yogic sleep’ is a deeply relaxing, meditative and healing practice. It has been used for centuries to achieve the deepest possible state of physical relaxation while maintaining consciousness. Said to be yoga’s best-kept secret, regular practice of Yoga Nidra is mentally and physically stress-releasing and uses the power of intention-setting to manifest well-being. The class consists of brief, gentle warm-up of the muscles but the majority of the practice is spent with a guided meditation in deep physical relaxation. You'll leave feeling at peace, clear-headed and rejuvenated.
Yoga Basics
Each 60-minute class will introduce all the basic hatha yoga techniques for seated postures, standing postures, balance poses, breathing techniques, modifications and more! Start your yoga journey! Join other beginners - or those who want a refresher on the yoga basics - in a non-competitive, easy-going atmosphere that you'll enjoy. Attend all or just some each Monday in January and February 2020.
Yoga Flow for Strength & Tone
For those who want to advance their practice. While it is still designed for all levels, prepare warm up and to be challenged with stronger movements, postures, and balances.
